About Me
I specialize in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have experience working with a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am also skilled in crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO), a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA), and a Training Candidate of the Canadian Institute of Psychoanalysis (QE-English).
My preferred theoretical framework is, broadly speaking, the object relations school of thought; however, I am open to a variety of theoretical perspectives and strive to meet the specific needs of each client.
In my approach to therapy, I emphasize compassion, understanding, and insight. By helping clients to understand both the origin and meaning of their problems I hope to free them from the burden of the past, eliminate unnecessary suffering, and enable them to lead better and more fulfilling lives.
Location and Availabilities
My office is located in downtown Ottawa at 356 MacLaren. The waiting room is on the first floor and there is a short climb upstairs leading to my office on the third floor.
Currently I have availabilities for in-person sessions on Wednesday and Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons and evenings. I can offer virtual sessions most weeknights.
